A Dedication to the Job.

MVM brings us a brutal session of adult anime, based on the Japanese yuri light novel series written by Mato Sato and illustrated by Nilitsu. Director Yoshiki Kawasaki takes us to a colourful world that is divided up from the commoners, the Noblesse, and the Church, the Faust, the church being the highest power. And a priestess called Menou, who does the bidding of the church, killing the ‘Lost Ones’ who appear from another realm that is Japan. Some of the Lost Ones have special powers known as ‘Pure Concept’, some are good and some are very dangerous and these must be eliminated. Watch as Menou struggles to do her job.

A young boy is summoned to another realm, he has been summoned by King Grisarika who is looking for a way to take on the highest power in their world, The Faust – the church. The boy is of no use to him, as his Pure Concept (a natural power of the summoned – (The Lost Ones). He is thrown out of the palace, and he wanders around aimlessly, until he meets Menou, a priestess of the Faust, who quickly realises that this boy is a Lost One, she analyses his Pure Concept and finds that it is a dangerous destructive power, and in the blink of an eye she has dispatched this Lost One, for she is an executioner for the Faust. Her job is to protect this realm from the destructive powers of these Lost Ones, as in the past there has been a series of planet changing events.

We have met our executioner, and before she dispatched the boy he had told her that after he was summoned a young woman was also brought to this planet, the strange thing, all the Lost Ones have come from Japan, and this has heavily influenced the style of this realm.

Menou has an assistant, Momo another young woman who is deeply in love with Menou, and when she finds out that the new Lost One is a pretty young woman called Akari Tokito Momo is instantly jealous of her.

The King is a heretic for trying to bring down the church with these Lost Ones, and when Menou liberates Akari from the palace she finds that her power seems to be healing, but when she dispatches her, things change as time steps back and Akari is alive again.

Menou has a dilemma, she must kill Akari, but she isn’t able, she swears she will find a way. A very inventive anime.
