3 Star

Drug Money, A Thief and a Stowaway.

All-rounder James Clayton (Genesis Code, Minority Report (TV Mini Series)) brings us his first feature film in this all out, big gun action chase movie, starring British hard man Vinnie Jones (Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch). Sit back and watch the carnage.

In the middle of nowhere, there is a huge junkyard, where no good things go on, as a shadowy figure sneaks between the battered vehicles. In another section of the yard someone is having his life taken away by some goons. This is a good distraction as the shadowy figure gets inside the business part of the yard, drug money lots of money, our thief (James Clayton) fills a huge duffel bag before slinking back into the yard to make his getaway.

But things don’t go smoothly as the goons start a hunt and the Thief’s car is rammed by Rahul (Shane Leydon, Hello Destroyer, Supernatural (TV Series)). After a bit of an altercation our Thief gets away in Rahul’s car. Things seem good for our Thief as he contacts his getaway man Vic (Philip Granger, A Twist of Faith, Tucker and Dale vs Evil) who is going to whisk him away in his aeroplane, that is until he spots that he has been grazed by a bullet, so he pulls over to see if he can bandage his arm, but there is nothing he can do to help himself, perhaps there is something in the trunk.

There is a stowaway in the trunk, it is Mia (Lina Lecompte, Rogue (TV Series), Charmed (TV Series)) a very pregnant Mia, and the wife of Temple (Vinnie Jones) who is the drug lord that he has just stolen the money off.

Back at the junkyard Rahul is having a bad day as Temple’s men, Skinny (Danny Mac, Heel Kick!, Signed, Sealed, Delivered (TV Series)) and Griz (Glenn Ennis, Cold Pursuit, Van Helsing (TV Series)) are loosening him up for an interrogation by Temple. Mia is on a mission to get away from Temple, she doesn’t want her unborn son to be in the country, never mind in the presence of Temple. She is trying to get to a motel, to meet a contact of Rahul’s. An unknown contact is never a good idea, and the Thief has a dilemma, to get to the airstrip to meet Vic or help the fleeing Mia. We all know the choice he will make.

Now Mia and the Thief have to avoid Temple and his goons, but most of all Temple’s hitman known only as ‘The Frenchman’ (Janvier Katabarwa, The 100 (TV Series), Hello Au Revoir).

Death Pursuit is an all out action film, as Jones plays the role he was made for, the hard man, Temple, as he brings his experience to this inexperienced cast. One for the action fans, with plenty of fighting and gun play.
