It’s Clobbering Time With O’Brien.

From legendary action writer/ director Robert Clouse (Enter the Dragon, Game of Death, The Ultimate Warrior, Bruce Lee at Golden Harvest 4K UHD Limited Edition), he brings us Cynthia Rothrock (LADY REPORTER [Shi jie da shai] (aka The Blonde Fury / Righting Wrongs II / Above The Law II, YES, MADAM! aka. POLICE ASSASSINS (Eureka Classics) Special Edition, The Martial Arts Kid) the female martial arts star in the lead for these two 1990 high kicking, fast punching action films.

Small town girl China O’Brien (Cynthia Rothrock) now lives in the big city training cops in martial arts, but a disgruntled cop named Termite (Doug Wright, The Toxic Avenger Part II) calls her out on the effectiveness of her training on the mean streets of the city, challenging her to a demonstration against a bunch of guys at night. She turns up and starts fighting the guys that come at her, but these aren’t fellow police officers, and when she spots a gun pointed at Termite’s head, she pulls out her gun and fires.

The person she shot was a young man, and this weighs heavily on her soul, and she resigns and leaves the big city behind, as she heads back to her roots. But life in Beaver Creek, Utah is in turmoil as town sheriff John O’Brien (David Blackwell) can testify, as he battles the power of local crime boss Edwin Sommers (Steven Kerby) who has one of O’Brien’s deputy’s in his pocket, as well as the local judge. China settles in to town life as she meets up with old flame Matt Conroy (Richard Norton, City Hunter, Mad Max: Fury Road).

She’s one of them chop suey fighters.

As John tries to bring justice to Beaver Creek, he ruffles Sommers feathers, which gets him and his loyal deputy killed in separate explosions. With john gone, bent deputy Marty Lickner (Patrick Adamson, 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain, Mr. Mental) and Sommers think they have the town all sewn up, but the fly in the ointment is Lori China O’Brien, as she runs for the sheriffs position, and with the support of Matt and the biker out for revenge ‘Dakota’ (Keith Cooke, Mortal Kombat, The King of the Kickboxers). With Dakota’s lightning footwork and China’s formidable skills, and Matt’s all round skills, the baddies are in for a shock.

These skills carry over into China O’Brian II, the dynamic trio have to save Beaver Creek again, with more of the high-octane action, to give you nearly three hours of 4K viewing 18 Cert explosive action. A must own for the fans of Martial Arts or Cynthia Rothrock, or for those curious about this action packed couple of films.
