Five Discs of Kung fu Magic

Martial arts fans rejoice as Eureka Entertainment LTD have released this box set with over one-thousand minutes of ping, ping, thwap, bang as sword hits sword and fists find faces, in this ten film, five disk spectacular, all directed by wuxia master director Chang Cheh. This box set has all the drama, all the action, with a smattering of singing, with all the leading men and women of the day doing the action. This is also a big nod to the Shaw Brothers.

Checking with IMDb, these film seem to have had different names at different times, but Eureka are going with, (deep breath) Men From the Monastery, Shaolin Martial Arts, King Eagle, Iron Bodyguard, Fantastic Magic Baby (musical), The Weird Man, Trail of the Broken Blade, Wandering Swordsman, Trilogy of Swordsmanship, New Shaolin Boxers.

You have insulted them in public, they will not let this go.

The stories range from the Manchu hating the righteous Shaolin temple students, how being in the wrong place at the wrong time can embroil you into a huge conspiracy, that has deadly consequences. To lone hero’s trying to take down a corrupt government, and a slight diversion into the musical lives of the monkey deity and the goddess of mercy, putting another deity on the path of righteousness. Plain old revenge fight after they were grievously wronged.

If at first you don’t succeed, training montage, training montage, training montage.

You’re getting the picture, this box set covers the whole gamut of genres in the martial arts stories, add in all the amazing skills of the players, this is a must own release for any and all Martial Arts fans.
