5 Star

A Very Powerful Vision.

The plight of rhino’s is well documented over the decades, with less than six-thousand Black rhino’s left on the whole of the planet. Poachers take approximately five percent of that population each year. But in a corner of Kenya there has been an ongoing success story, because of one man. Kiloku and his team of rangers has not lost one rhino in the last ten years, but, and this is a very big but, his success has caused a problem.

Beautifully Shot

Rhino’s take-up a lot of space, so much so that they are now the males are in conflict with each other for space to have their families. These males will fight to the death for this privilege, which really goes against what Kiloku and his team are trying to achieve.

A must-watch

What is the solution? We have to move some of the rhino’s to a safe haven some sixty-miles away, but with poachers and bandits getting desperate during a very long drought. It is going to be nearly impossible and very, very dangerous.

Dedication that goes well beyond a job.

With a newly graduated ranger named Rita, Kiloku and his team identify the individuals that need to be identified, before they can be moved.

All this was captured by the very dedicated Tom Martienssen (Gaucho: The Last Cowboys of Patagonia), who has co-written this documentary that is narrated by Academy Award Nominee Tom Hardy (Legend. Mad Max Fury Road), he also filmed it all, now that is also some dedication to duty.

A Deadly Fight for Conservation.
