The Threat is Global.

Michael Mann (Collateral, The Last of the Mohicans) brings us a tense, nerve-shredding tale of espionage and criminal activity that spans continents. Where governments, National agencies, and criminals all come together to stop a criminal hacker with an unknown agenda. Now, released the way Michael Mann wanted.

Starting with some strange graphics indicating a hack taking place, targeting the opportunities markets, and artificially manipulating the Soy prices, as a huge cargo ship heads towards Rotterdam carrying 200,000 tons of soya beans, which feeds two-thirds of the world’s livestock. With the prices of Soya going skyward, the cargo ship is refused entry to the port as it has now become under-insured. This price hike has a knock on effect, as all beef, pork and poultry prices must rise as well, making food out of reach for huge numbers of people worldwide.

In China, Colonel Chen Dawai (Leehom Wang, Lust, Caution, The Great Wall) is charged with finding the Black-Hat hacker responsible for causing this world problem, when he finds that out that the first part of the hack was written by him and his college buddy Nick Hathaway (Chris Hemsworth, Star Trek, Avengers Assemble) a hacker that is languishing in prison in the US of A.

In the US, the FBI are also concerned about the Chicago hack. Special Agent Carol Bennett (Viola Davis, Fences, The Help) has been tasked with finding the culprit, but Dawai calls, telling them he knows how it was done but needs to see the original code for the RAT (remote access tool). He says in time they will find it, but it would be much quicker to work together.

He takes his sister Chen Lien (Tang Wei, Finding Mr. Right, Decision to Leave) to the USA as she knows her way around computer languages. The sting in the tail is that the person he needs to catch the hacker is in prison for hacking banks out of millions of dollars, and he is the only one that can get the job done.

Find Him, Stop Him!

The condition from Nick is that if he finds the hacker, his sentence will be commuted, reluctantly the FBI agree. Now begins the chase around the internet, and the globe, as they try to figure out what dastardly plan the hacker has up his sleeve.

Its guns, bullets and fast fingers.
