Unrelenting Revenge!

Writer/director Alastair Orr (Triggered, House on Willow Street) collaborates with writers David D. Jones (Bent), and Garth McCarthy. At one-hundred and thirty-four minutes long, it seems that each writer wanted their forty-five minutes of screen time, but that isn’t a bad thing as they bring us a full on action packed who is hunting who movie. Just a heads-up, if you don’t like bloody violence, then this not for you.
A black-ops operation in Angola 2013. A small team with two who have become intimate, Daniel Conner (Clyde Berning, Bloodshot, Monster Hunter), and Jessica Brok (Danica De La Rey Jones, Darby and the Dead, The Morning After (TV Series)), they are after a group of poachers. But what they discover is an almost empty building, it is occupied by Sergei Ipacs (Anthony Oseyemi, The Salvation, Hector and the Search for Happiness), the brother of feared leader Lazar Ipacs (Richard Lukunku, Black Sails (TV Series), The Siege of Jadotville). Whilst trying to extract information from Sergei, they make a terrible discovery, the poachers are also child kidnappers, and they put the children in coffins connected to the internet and put them up for ransom, these kids must be saved.

That’s when they quickly discover that this was all a set-up, and Lazar has sprung the trap, as bodies start piling up. Jessica is a fierce fighter, but the team is soon down to her and the very injured Dan who is now being tortured by Lazar. As she hides, Jessica can hear Dan’s screams as Lazar puts bullets in him, this is gut-wrenching for Jessica, but she is out of bullets and when there is a gunshot and Dan goes quiet, she makes her escape.

Twelve years later and ‘Linda’ works in conservation with Kimmy (Kim Cloete, The Station Strangler, Twee Grade van Moord). She enjoys her job and her family life with daughter Nikki (Katherine Neethling, Boy Kills World, Bulletproof (TV Series)), but Jessica has skills that cannot be unlearnt, and when taking Nikki home after school she spots a truck following her It seems to be a false alarm until she gets home, when she is attacked by someone who she had put in prison, but she is saved by non other than Dan.

He tells her that he has spent years in jail, and now he has a job in the Congo, and she is perfect for the job, but she wants nothing to do with it. As she gets to her car she is kidnapped. When she wakes she is tied to a post, and she is in the clutches of a very angry Lazar, with Dan looking on.

Watch as Jessica has to fight to escape Lazar and all his hired goons his wife and his surviving brother. This is going to be brutal and gory.

With Danica De La Rey Jones taking the lead in this action flick it shows that there are strong female action roles, that should be seen.

Outgunned is available on Digital Now.
