Super Soldiers on the Rampage.

Calling all Jet Li/martial arts fan, Eureka have done it again, bringing us Jet Li (HEROES & VILLAINS: Three films starring Jet Li, KUNG FU CULT MASTER, The One, Kiss of the Dragon) at his most explosive. Action, adventures don’t come more frantic than the action in this super-soldiers vs a superhero. All directed by Daniel Lee (Three Kingdoms, White Vengeance) and his fascination of the Wuxia world since his childhood, which shows in this action packed fight-fest.

In 1992 a squad of soldiers (The 701) undergo a radical set of experiments that sees their nerve ending removed, so that they feel no pain and will fight to the death. One of those soldiers is Tsui Chik (Jet Li) who trains these ‘super soldiers’, for government missions, but after one of the agents kills a team of policemen in an uncontrollable rage, the government decides to abort the project and terminate the test subjects. Tsui Chik creates a diversion, so that Yeuk Laan (Françoise Yip, Rumble in the Bronx, Blade: Trinity) and the others can escape death.
Tsui Chik wants a quiet life, so he retires to the city, where he becomes a librarian. The perfect lifestyle for him.

This is where he meets the hapless Tracy Lee (Fallen Angels, Around the World in 80 Days) a woman he will get in a lot of trouble with. His life is quiet and predictable… That is until, a team arrive that were responsible for a violent crime spree, which is beyond the capability of the local police Inspector ‘Rock’ Shek Wai-Ho (Ching Wan Lau, RUNNING OUT OF TIME 1 & 2, SHOCK WAVE: HONG KONG DESTRUCTION)

But how can our super soldier spot this crime spree? Well, he dons a black mask and a hat, and becomes the superhero “The Black Mask”
