4 Star Action in the continuing Saga of Katniss.
Director Francis Lawrence (I am Legend) continues Suzanne Collins Hunger Games trilogy with Mockingjay Part 1 after he directed Catching Fire which saw Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) survive the games for the second time.
But she did more than survive, as she destroyed the domes forcefield and Capitol’s surveillance allowing the rebels to escape along with Haymitch ( Woody Harrelson, No Country for Old Men), Beetee (Jeffery Wright, Source Code), Finnick (Sam Claflin, Love, Rosie), and Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman, The Master), the head Gamemaker who has been aligned with the rebels all along. She is reunited with her mother and sister Primrose (Willow Shields, Beyond the Blackboard) at the secret deep underground District 13.
She is introduced to President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore, Non Stop) who wants Katniss to be the figurehead of the rebellion as her bravery in the dome sparked riots and strikes within Panem against the Capitol and President Snow (Donald Sutherland, Moby Dick TV Mini Series) whose wrath knows no bounds as he decrees that any connection with the rebels or the figurehead are to be dealt with deadly force as the 
peacekeepers publicly execute rebels all over Panem. It is only when Katniss is told of the destruction of her District 12 which she then visits to see the destruction and the charred bodies of Snow’s victims, leaving only Victors Village unscathed, that she agrees to become the Mockingjay and act as the figurehead of the Rebels.
She does so, with demands, pardons for all and her sister gets to keep her pet. Accompanied by a film crew to capture Katniss’s spontaneous reactions to the atrocities are Cressida (Natalie Dormer, The Tudors) and the brothers Castor (Wes Chatham, This Thing Called Sarah) and Pollox (Elden Henson, Deja Vu).
With district 7 taking the fight to the peacekeepers it is Katniss’s vow to rescue Peeta 
(Josh Hutcherson, Red Dawn) who is being used by the Capitol to taint the Rebelion.
This is a much more explosive episode of the trilogy as Katniss and the rebels take the fight to the man. It has you on the edge of your seat, our heroine is mortified by the ruthlessness of her foe, as innocents are swept aside without a thought. We all know…
