Kung Fu fighter meets a Folk Hero

Once more, RRR gets to watch the skills of Chinese folk hero Wong Fei-hung, again portrayed by Tak-Hing Kwan (Three Films With Sammo Hung, Once Upon A Time In China Trilogy, Iron Monkey, DREADNAUGHT) who shows off his skills as a physician and famed martial artist. Directed by Chang-hwa Jeong (Five Fingers of Death, Broken Oath), who brings life to the man that shaped Chinese Martial Arts.

Leo Hsiao Sze-Tzu (Carter Wong, Angela Mao: Hapkido & Lady Whirlwind, CINEMATIC VENGEANCE! 8 Kung Fu Classics From Director Joseph Kuo) has offended In-shik Hwang‘s (Way of the Dragon, The Young Master) hapkido martial arts school, by defeating them in fair combat, but they want revenge. The five students chase after Leo, and he defends himself as master Skyhawk, Wong Fei Hung (Tak-Hing Kwan) and his student Fei Fei (Sammo Kam-Bo Hung, The Millionaires Express, THE LUCKY STARS 3-Film Collection) observes the martial arts. Leo sends them back to their master, licking their wounds.

In-shik Hwang is not impressed with his students, and gives them another beating.

He must die.

Leo doesn’t fare well against the vindictive master, and Wong and Fei do their best to save Leo using Wong’s special remedies. They take him to Wong’s friend’s house. Mr Zhu (Wah-Lung Szema, The Legend of Drunken Master, The Story of a Discharged Prisoner) who is having trouble with the local drug leader Mr Gu (Hsiung Chao, Five Fingers of Death, The One-Armed Swordsman), who wants to use his workers and his warehouse to move opium to China from Bangkok.

Gu will use all methods of persuasion to get what he wants and Wong, Leo and Fei are the only ones in his way. It’s a fight to the death.

Another great release from Eureka for the martial arts, action fan in the house.
