Fed up of chocolate? Too many cavities? How about something a bit different to offer as an Easter gift this year?
There have been plenty of new releases recently which would make the perfect gift for your loved ones this Easter.
Our top recommendation is, of course, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the latest Middle Earth offering from the master, Peter Jackson. Action packed and full of Hobbits, Wood Elves, Spiders and Dragons, this will satisfy the soul of any Tolkien fan, you really can’t go wrong with this one.
If you are more into watching a TV series, then there are a couple of new releases to cast an eye over. For a bit of nostalgia and perfect for Mum, why not try A Year In Provence, the release of the original broadcast of the BBC adaptation of the best seller by Peter Mayle.
Also, although not a series, don’t forget about Midsomer Murders; The Killings Of Copenhagen, which sees everyone’s favourite detective, Barnaby takes the lead once more to investigate a series of seemingly unsolvable crimes.
For Dad, there is the re-mastered Blu-ray release of Wake In Fright, the iconic Australian tale of life in the out back, or if it’s sci-fi you’re after, then a great choice would be The Machine, a slick British offering, classy to the last.
And let’s not forget about all you anime fans out there, as ever a great selection is just arriving in the UK. First and foremost of course in this household is the release of the first part of series 13 of Bleach: Fall Of The Arrancar (back to the story-line!), the thrilling climax to Sword Art Online and Naruto Shippūden Box Set 17.
And for the kids? Well, why not buy them chocolate eggs, like we all enjoyed when we were kids and send them to their rooms to eat them while you settle down in front of your TV with your lovely new purchases.
Happy Easter Everyone!
