Gratuitous, Insane Violence.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, for once again pairing writer Derek Kolstad (Nobody, Die Hart) and martial artist director Chad Stahelski (The John Wick Quadrille) as they take on the story of the killer who will not tow the party line. Chapter four takes off after the events of Parabellum with John in hiding after taking on the high table. Be prepared for the force of nature that is John Wick. Awesome stuff is about to unfold.

“I am the way into the city of woe. I am the way into eternal flame. I am the way to go among the lost. Before me, there were no created things. But those that last forever. As I do! Abandon all hope, you who are about to enter here.”

“You are now in the presence of the Motherf#ckin King! You ready John?”  The Bowery King.

Yeah!

John (Keanu Reeves, Knock Knock, Siberia, Bill and Ted Face the Music, Johnny Mnemonic 25TH ANNIVERSARY WITH HD DIGITAL) has been in hiding under the seedy streets of New York with the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne, The Ice Road, Hannibal Series 1) after the events of Parabellum, as he has a $14 million price tag on his head.

Man has to look his best when it’s time to get married, or buried.

But now John is coming out of hiding and taking the fight to the “Table”. John travels to Morocco, where we see John’s horse riding/shooting skills as he chases the lackeys of the “one who sits above the Table” (George Georgiou, 300: Rise of an Empire, RED 2). The events that unfold leads to the series of events that will change John’s life forever.

The Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont (Bill Skarsgård, Moomins and the Winter Wonderland, It Chapter Two) a High Table member, summons the manager of the New York Continental Hotel, Winston (Ian McShane, American Gods Season 2, Cuban Fury) and his concierge, Charon (Lance Reddick, Faults On demand, The Guest). (R.I.P.). Even though Winston shot John it was not enough for the high table and now the Marquis has unlimited funds to kill John, and stop his annoying interference. He also strips Winston of his managerial position, and like John, he is made “excommunicado”. The Marquis takes out his frustration on Charon, and executes him as a show of intent.

The Marquis wants the job done properly, and he re-employs blind assassin Caine (Donnie Yen, IN THE LINE OF DUTY IV, Iron Monkey), a man well known to John, as they were friends, but the Marquis knows the love Caine has for his estranged daughter, and he holds her safety over Caine’s head.

John hides out at the Osaka Continental, where his old friend Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada, The Twilight Samurai, Sunshine) is the manager, but his daughter/concierge Akira (Rina Sawayama) doesn’t know anything about him. As she checks in the scruffy Tracker (Mr Nobody) (Shamier Anderson, Bruiser, Son of the South) and his dog, she is interrupted by the Marquis’ men accompanied by Caine to investigate the hotel, with a view to finding John.

There is no John out there. No happy man with a normal life. There is only John Wick: The Killer.

This is where the action becomes a blur as John and Caine and the multiple henchmen clash, After the events at the Continental, John heads back to New York where Winston pays respect to Charon, and tells John there is a way to “Get out”. Challenge the Marquis to a duel, but first you must have a family, and the best chance of that is in Berlin. The Ruska Roma crime syndicate, wants a high price for admittance, the death of high table member Killa Harkin (Scott Adkins, Legacy of Lies, Payback).

Find the edge of your seat, grab the popcorn, and prepare yourself for 2 hours and 49 minutes of Kung-Fu, Gun-Fu, and now Car-fu. Awesome Action. A Pure Adrenalin Rush.
